C.A.B.

The system C.A.B. is an innovative design of covers for longitudinal barrier elements, for example rails, New Jersey barriers (concrete barriers which separate lanes) or safety fences. The product is adapted to the laws of other countries and can be traded globally.

Most Spanish and European cities exceed the maximum limits of noise allowed in urban areas as regulated by the WHO (World Health Organization), the European directive concerning noise, the Noise Law and local ordinances.

The CAB system attenuates noise by covering, not replacing the current barriers of containment. Its installation avoids, therefore, the high costs of replacement.

The barrier cover satisfies several of the technological needs of the road-construction sector, ensuring its commercial application in roads, airports, racetracks and railways:

Acoustic requirements: CAB is specially designed to absorb the noise produced by vehicles (traffic causes 80% of urban noise)
Lighting requirements: The cover obstructs light transmission from one direction of driving to another, preventing the blinding of drivers and the alteration of wildlife biorhythms .
Environmental requirements: the use of granulate rubber obtained from processing used tires and recycled materials reduces environmental impact ofmanufacturing the product. Moreover, as the CAB systen is a longitudinal element fixed to the ground, it prevents wildlife access to the road and also prevents the spread of forest fires.
Protection requirements of road users: the lower section of the cover is made of shock absorbing material, adequate to prevent serious injury to drivers of motorcycles and bicycles.

Currently, there are no other traffic protection elements on the market that have such attributes and comply with existing legislation concerning noise and containment.
